False Claim

It is an offence under the Act to make a false statement or claim in relation to obtaining a benefit from ACC. The penalties are severe and ACC will prosecute any offenders.

Limitation of time for submitting claims

No claims for recovery of compensation is considered unless the claim is made within 12 months after the date of accident causing injury or in the case of death except within 12 months after the date of death.

Levy Contributors

Employers and workers are favourably reminded of their ACC levy contributions. ACC depend on these funds to provide compensation claims from workers and non-workers govern under the ACC Act 1989 and Amendments 2003.
